You know AI could save your team time, but you need practical training to make it happen.
These AI workshops involve structured, hands-on learning that directly relates to your work, and include workbooks filled with AI prompts to use in future.
Not sure how to write prompts that give you useful results? This short, practical workshop teaches you a proven framework for writing effective AI prompts. You’ll learn the 3Rs prompt framework, apply it to your own projects during the session, and identify opportunities to use AI in your particular work.
You’ll also receive six months’ access to the AI Prompt Writer tool to give you extra ideas on how to use AI as part of your projects. This workshop is available for individuals or groups of up to 10 people.

This workshop is delivered online, but in-person delivery is also available on request.
The stakes are high when elected members, funders or board members are using your report to make a decision. This workshop shows you how to write credible, trustworthy reports, and different ways that AI can help you improve the quality and readability of your work.
The workshop walks through a full report writing process. You will gain clarity on what decision your report needs to focus on, who your ideal reader is, and how to build an outline to support your writing process.
You’ll explore options for using AI to help you and decide where it adds value and where you’re better off doing without it.
You will leave with a way of working that keeps your voice and your thinking at the centre of every report.
Delivery: This is a three-hour online workshop (or four hours in-person), and is supported by AI prompts at each step in the process.

Customised AI training is also available (see below).
Great engagement factors in who you are talking to and what they care about, and draws on your communication strengths. This workshop helps you bring all these elements together in a plan that works for your stakeholders, the project and you.
You will think about: your audience and what they care about, your own communication strengths and blind spots, and what feedback you will need to inform your project. You will build a community engagement plan using AI to help you.
We’ll be using AI to brainstorm ideas and then to structure your plan, but you’ll be deciding what actions to take.

Once you have feedback from your stakeholders or wider community, you need to digest the responses and decide what to do with them. This workshop helps you make sense of the feedback, with AI helping at each step.
This workshop will help you clarify what you need to know, and what you will do with the answers you receive. We’ll look at different options for using AI to help you make sense of what comes back to you and to reflect the results in your recommendations.

This workshop will open your eyes to innovative ways to use AI for editing without making your writing bland.
You will try out a series of editing prompts on sample content, to help you with both big-picture thinking to tell an engaging story and with sentence-by-sentence improvements to bring your text to life. You will also create customised instructions to help AI spot and suggest changes to language that doesn’t match your writing style.
The heart of the workshop is interweaving manual steps with AI support. You’ll come away with a strong sense of which editing steps you want to do yourself, and where AI can provide useful support.

Do I need any AI experience to attend these courses?
No. All courses are designed for people at all levels, from complete beginners to those already using AI who want to go further. I walk through everything step by step.
Can these courses work with Microsoft Copilot?
Yes. I develop prompts for use in Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT or Claude.
What if my council has restrictions on AI use?
I follow strict confidentiality protocols and use only secure, appropriate AI tools for different risk levels of information. During setup, I’ll share my AI Policy with you, and I’m happy to adapt it to meet your organisation’s requirements.
Can courses be delivered in person?
Yes. All courses can be delivered online or in person, depending on your preference. In-person delivery outside of Nelson and Richmond will involve travel costs, which I’ll confirm in advance.
