Eight step process: writing an executive summary

Writing a high quality executive summary can give the gift of time to people who need to understand the key points about your plan or strategy.

Your executive summary:
- will be widely read by decision makers
- needs to be succinct and engaging
- should accurately represent the findings in your main document.

The difficulty in delivering all of these goals in very few pages can lead to dancing around the job of getting the words on the page, rather than jumping in and getting it done. That's why I developed an eight step process, to help me overcome my own resistance.

This step by step process will help you to write a quality executive summary for your council.
