Writing executive summaries

Why executive summaries matter

Writing an executive summary isn't easy. It needs to quickly and accurately convey the key points of your document without duplicating text in the main body of your document. It's essential to ensure the language is easy to understand by people who are not experts in your field.

A high quality executive summary will make it easier for decision makers to understand your advice and take well-informed action. Senior managers, councillors and members of the public will appreciate a summary that conveys the essence of your document, especially if they are short on time.

As the owner of the document, you know what's most important. I will work with you to tell that story, providing a clear window into your document.

Please feel welcome to email or phone me if you would like help to share your essential information with your audience.
